IQ Test....warming up the idle brain !!

IQ Test

Guys, you can also test your IQ level via this following website:

http://www.afreeiqtest.com

just for fun! (^_^)

Intelligence Interval Cognitive Designation
40 - 54 Severely challenged (Less than 1% of test takers)
55 - 69 Challenged (2.3% of test takers)
70 - 84 Below average
85 - 114 Average (68% of test takers)
115 - 129 Above average
130 - 144 Gifted (2.3% of test takers)
145 - 159 Genius (Less than 1% of test takers)
160 - 175 Extraordinary genius

The above nuggets of info were politely grabbed from: http://www.iqtest.com/faq.html

Just a small reminder, one may say that cleverness is inherited or is gifted from GOD. That's quite true. However, I have different opinion. Doing exercise may help you to maintain your health. Likewise the brain, you also need to 'warming up' and then do 'some exercises' so that it can keep up with the pace. And as muslims/muslimahs, for each effort that we do, we leave it to ALLAH afterwards.
BTW, my hubby manage to get 136. Huhu shame on me! hehe...I bet u guys surely do better than me!hoho

Last week, me n my hubby went to Blings Market in Canary Wharf. We went there with Kak Yati n her husband, Amzari. We bought Salmon Fish (GBP10 each), prawns (1 box=GBP14), crabs (1kg=GBP6.50)and squids (ikg=GBP6.50). Yaa yaaaa, I noe I spent a lots as I am craving those seafoods!!! huuhuuu

So today, I decided to cook the Salmon fish. I searched over the internet to find the recipe and I managed to find one that was similar to ready-made fillet fish. Believe me, it took 2 hours and half for me to just finish these four fried salmon cheese! The recipe can be retreived at:

Cheese and Mushroom Sauce with Pasta and Daging Masak Pedas!

It has been almost a year since I first came to London. Within a few months, I have become more resilient towards all the hardships which I had to bear with during these periods. In fact, I am now more or less, able to counter-attack the very unpleasant things that may occur throughout my daily life. Moreover, my English is much better now as compare to my "early golden ages" and I have more confidence to speak English in public. Alhamdulillah. Indeed, "experience is a good teacher" but one had said that; "Learn experience from others may save you from doing the same, wrong mistakes, and avoiding from making wrong decisions".

Guys, I really dont want my Nu Na's Chronicle turns to Nu Na's Daily Recipe, but I cant help myself from taking pictures of my self-made cuisine. For today's lunch, I made Pasta with Cheese and Mushroom Sauce. It was easy to make and save your precious time as it was just took 'bout half an hour to complete. That is include the time for preparing the ingredients: grayting the cheese, frying the mushrooms and so forth. I once ate this when I was living with the Bruneian family but I havent got the chance to do it until today.

Just look at the texture. Yummy isn't it? (^_^) For pasta, I used Fussili while for making the cheese sauce, I used the Cheddar cheese, milk, butter and flour. As for the mushrooms, I used button mushrooms and cut each of it into four and then fried them with chopped garlic, salt and pepper using olive oil. It was my first try and the taste: should I say more?! Hehe.

Yesterday's dinner I made Daging Masak Pedas. Believe me, this was my first time I bought and eat beef here! Actually, I dont really eat beef and lamb that much. But, a few days before, I was kept thinking about the Daging Masak Pedas which was usually cooked by my mom during Hari Raya or special event(Owh,I miss my mom..sob sob sob). And so, I called my mom yesterday afternoon to confirm again regarding the ingredients and asked her any useful tips that could be applied during the making process.

The result: As you can see here. This is actually the leftover. I just took the picture today. And since I made the pasta for the lunch and decided not to cook the rice, so my hubby had eaten it with the pasta!Hurmmm...macam2!(^_^). For 1kg beef = 7GBP = 42MYR. Expensive kan? I dont know how much the beef price per kilogram in Msia. Anyone?!

New Room, New Hopes and New Life for sure!

Hi Sarah n reader of my blog,

Finally, I moved in to a new room officially on 18th of June 2008. So that is to say, I already live in this new room with my hubby for approximately 3 weeks! I pay the room for 455GBP pcm (per calendar month) instead of using the usual way, pay in for every 4 weeks. I was preoccupied with the dissertation, moving the stuff,be as a tourist guide and so forth for the last 2 weeks ago so that is why I couldnt update my precious blog for almost 3 weeks!!!!Damn, really miss Nu Na's Chronicle!

Our new flat is on the 2nd floor in Tower Hamlet Borough. This flat consists of 4 rooms, 1 kitchen, 1 shower room and 1 toilet. The master bedroom is occupied by one gentleman from South Africa, one guy from India(muslim) who lives in the second room, mine is in the 3rd room and the last room which is the smallest one is occupied by one man from France. So, I am the only lady in this flat. Anyway, I really satisfy with all facilities that are provided by the agent of this house. So far, it is really easy to deal with him. But the most important thing that I like about this new flat is, we are all equal. No one can act as a landlord as this flat is run by the agent as the meddler person between us; the tenants and, the real landlord of the flat.

My past experience has taught me a lot. Living with the landlord only brings so much pain. They first will control your daily life; asking you where have you been for the whole day?, Why are you coming home late?, and etc etc etc. They dont sound like your parents when your parents worrying about you. But they DEFINITELY sound like a 'busybody' type of person! Then, the next thing you know, they start to intefere your very own secretive and sensitive business; asking you how much many you earn or get for your scholarship, how did you spend them? and etc etc etc!!!!Owh Pleaseeeeee, mind your own business laaa, okay?!

So here, I am free to do my own thing. Enjoy cooking is the most laaa!!!hehe. And I don't really talk too much with them, instead of saying: Hi. Are u allright? Hello. Enough. Full stop. I learnt from my past experience too, dont let your friendliness carried away and dont let your guard down! Dont trust anybody! HoH0000oo...

Hoh0 muke penat but full of satisfaction!!!! Nasi Ayam: the making...i mean the finishing...hehe

Nasi Ayam and Kuih Keria....!!!!

Guys, this was also my very first attempt to do the Nasi Ayam! Doesn't it look sooo damn tempting?! (Hueekkkk...puke..hehe) Gosh, I dont know that cooking can give me so much pleasure! You noe wot, I never cook those dishes; Masak Kurma, Nasi Goreng Tom Yam, Apam Balik etc etc etc in Malaysia as I can get them easily. My very typical opinion at that time was : "Why wasting my time in the kitchen if I can go to the kedai mkn or kueh stall to buy them?!"

But here,I'm damn craving to eat those so I just tried them out and the motivation that drives me to try new recipe each time is definitely my hubby laa. As I said earlier, I find pleasure each time I cook something as there will be another person who will eat it and then surely gives a very nice and encouraging comment which boost up my confidence and the excitement feeling to do and cook more!!!!

I made the kueh keria yesterday. The kueh was very okay (same as good laa...hueeekkkk(another puke)hehe) but I failed to make the coating sugar...I was not sure, it probably either I put too much water or I didnt wait until the mixture crystalised but anyway they still taste yummy!!!

Nasi Goreng Tom Yam and Salad!

The Nasi Goreng Tom Yam was requested by my hubby. Try it with salad that has been garnished with the salad dressing! The taste, only one word can describe: SUPERB!!!!

Apam Balik! Nyum nyum!

Okay, this was my first attempt to make my very own apam balik!!!!Hahaha, enjoy maaa cooking them...but they sure took a lot of my time to make it and you noe wot, I did learn something in the process of making it. One of them is you need the swirly skill when pouring the batter into the pan. Mastering this skill enable your apam balik looks nicer and yummy too!

Too bad, I just learned it and as I not a very 'gifted' person in kitchen, so tht's why my apam baliks look soooo horrible. But hey, as an old saying, dont judge book by its cover yaa, they were crunchy and taste delicious!

Lunch: Masak Kurma etc

Sorry guys, I forgot to post this entry as well as the other two above. Believe me, I never thought that one day I can cook as good as a 'chef'...haha, just kidding guys!

But, they did taste good anyway...urmmm according to my hubby laaa kan...sure laa he will compliment my cook as not to hurt my feeling, otherwise,he may take more time just to get my heart back.....hoh00oo
